There is no reason to ever feel bored on a Las Vegas vacation because there are exciting events planned for every month of the year. Any Upcoming calendar of events for Las Vegas gives the visitor dozens of options for every weekend. Approximately 43 million people visit Las Vegas every year, and the number of guests continues to climb.
Land of Conventions
Las Vegas hosts over 21,000 conventions annually. In fact, conventions are the second most common reason people travel to the city. Over five million people attend the conventions that range from small business meetings to huge corporate extravaganzas. Many of the biggest are industry trade shows where multiple companies reveal their latest products to the world
Rodeo Super Bowl
The ten-day National Finals Rodeo averages 175,000 spectators watch the best in the sports as they rope, ride, and steer wrestle. The show takes place in December, so it is only natural that a cowboy-themed Christmas fair at the Las Vegas Convention Center coincides with the event.
Events for All
The Exodus Festival is the club, pool party, and DJ event of the year. Four weekends offer attendees the option to choose the theme they prefer. There is also a variety of music concerts, endless amounts of entertainment possibilities on the Strip, and much more. There are several beer fests, Monster Jam for motorsports fans, and the Epicurean Affair for all dedicated foodies. The World Series of Poker takes place in Vegas as do art festivals and much more. Whatever interest people may have there is a festival, show, or museum dedicated to it somewhere in the city or the surrounding area.
See the Sights
Stay active between events by seeing some of the many attractions in the area. The wall from the St. Valentine’s Massacre is on display, there is a Pinball Hall of Fame, and a theme park for adults called Dig This lets grownups play with heavy equipment like bulldozers and excavators. Or, people can see everything at once in the High Roller observation wheel. The 550-foot tall ride is the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. The attraction holds 28 enclosed pods that remain upright. The neon lights on the wheel change with the seasons or special occasions.
Of course, every visitor should bring some extra cash for the slots or poker tables. People may say they only come for the events, but 87 percent try their luck in at least one of the casinos before leaving. In a city that has 200,000 slot machines, it is easy to understand the temptation.
